  3. Remembering Our Veterans - Guided Walking Tour

    November 4, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Meet at Lilac Cottage in Bowen Park

    Veterans dating back from the War of 1812 are laid to rest at Waukegan's Oakwood Cemetery. On this guided tour, participants will visit the graves of numerous soldiers and hear their heroic stories. Walking tours are facilitated by Waukegan History Museum staff. Dress accordingly with comfortable walking shoes and also bring something to drink. Tours may be cancelled in rain or inclement weather.   4. Community Forum: Guns ... Are they the problem or is it deeper than that

    The community is invited to a panel discussion about guns in Waukegan and society at large. The program will be moderated by Anthony McIntyre of Switch Lanes. The panel will include elected officials, community members, law enforcement, business owners, healthcare professionals, service providers, civic leaders, etc.

    The Waukegan Yacht Club/Joseph Conrad Yacht Club is hosting this presentation of Sea Shanties. This is a fundraiser for the Wagner Museum and a medical center that was devastated during the recent hurricanes. Joseph Conrad was the first Polish sailor who rounded the world. The rich Polish heritage of the Joseph Conrad Yacht Club is embracing this effort! Polish food will also be available for purchase. The public is invited and welcome.
