  4. Chicago to Waukegan Race

    The Chicago to Waukegan Race is a much anticipated yearly event where yachts leave Chicago at 9AM and arrive in Waukegan at approximately noon. Get a good vantage point to see the boats arrive. The Waukegan Yacht Club will have grills and a beer wagon on the pier, along with an Italian dinner inside in the evening. LIVE music includes Doc Woods Jazz Band in the afternoon and The Luxmen in the evening. It's the "Nauti" life!

    Waukegan's local event turns 18 this year and is filled with celebrating survivors, remembering those who have lost their battle and fighting back against a disease that has taken so much from so many. The timetable is: 4:30pm: Survivor Celebration; 6pm: Opening Ceremony; 7pm: Fight Back Ceremony; 8pm: Recognition Ceremony ; 8:30pm: Luminaria Ceremony and 9:30pm: Wrap-Up. The public is invited and welcome!
