  3. Three Brothers and Center Stage Auditions

    Four Shows; Two Theatres; One Audition! Three Brothers Theatre in Waukegan and CenterStage in Lake Forest are proud to announce the first "Northern North Shore Unified Generals". The directors invite men and women, ages 20-70's, of any race/ethnicity to audition for "Anton in Show Business" by Jane Martin, "Proof" by David Auburn, "The Importance of being Ernest" by Oscar Wilde, and "As You Like" by Shakespeare. To audition, follow the directions in the link. All audition and call back locations are accessible by Metra and within walking distance.

  5. Rock the Ribbon!

    The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center, as a member of the Lake County Stands Against Stigma Coalition, is sponsoring a free community event to commemorate World AIDS Day. This year’s event is free and open to the public, and will feature inspirational thoughts, performances from local artists and a candle-lighting ceremony to remember those we have lost.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend to learn about the AIDS epidemic, remember those who have lost their lives to the disease, and “Rock the Ribbon” – wear a red ribbon to show your support and to stand against HIV stigma and discrimination.

  10. A Home for the Holidays Gala

    Staben House will hold a gala fundraiser to support all the services they offer. Did you know families comprise the largest homeless population? Since its inception, Staben House has assisted nearly 335 families and 656 children. In 2018, Staben House maintained a capacity of 106%, serviced 25 families and 86% of the families that left the program secured permanent housing. Sponsorships are available.
