    Join MH Wozniak CPA and Waukegan Main Street in cleaning up the Amstutz Expressway - it's the first one of the season! Meet at North Shore Printers - the very south end of the Amstutz - to get gloves, safety vests, bags, and instructions. This is a great community service event for teens and adults. Lunch will be provided after clean up is complete. Mark your calendars for the other clean up dates, too: June 23rd, July 28th, September 22nd..

    After learning that her beloved mother, Doris, was the first female in the family to suffer from dementia, Loretta Veney began documenting the details of doctor visits, and recording people, places and things as a substitute for her Mom's lost memory. Join Shiloh Baptist to hear Loretta as she shares what she has learned as a caregiver about patience, forgiveness, lifting the spirit, and uncovering joy. The presentation and luncheon are free, but registration is suggested.

  3. US Coast Guard Auxiliary Class - About Boating Safely

    The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer component of the US Coast Guard. Their mission is to promote and improve Recreational Boating Safety, to provide trained crews and facilities to augment the Coast Guard and to enhance safety and security of our ports, waterways, and coastal regions, To support Coast Guard operational, administrative, and logistical requirements. The Waukegan Coast Guard Auxiliary was started fifty years ago and are always looking for new volunteers.

    Jack Baron will be performing with the band 3 for All. He will be joined by Jerry Coleman on the drums, and Gary Swiontek on the bass. The group has been together for about five years. 3 for All will be featuring a lot of Wayne Shorter tunes and compositions by other saxophone artists. Jack recently retired as a music teacher in Waukegan, and is very excited about coming back to play for the community!
