  7. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson

    May 18, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Three Brothers Theatre Upstage

Forget that political rap musical with the expensive tickets and bring on the raucous rock musical about our 7th president! With a blend of fact and fiction, this musical is about the President who founded the Democratic party and doubled the size of the country while forcing an entire population onto reservations. In a sort of alternate universe this show charts the course of President Jackson’s life revealing a teenage, emo America. Populism has never looked so vain.

  8. Ethos Duo Concert at Family Piano

May 18, 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM @ Family Piano Co. Riverside Room

The Greeks used the word “ethos” to refer to the power music has in influencing emotions, behaviors, and even morals. Therefore, it is very appropriate for pianist Sevgi Giles (left), and cellist Marina Hoover (right) to perform as the Ethos Duo! These artists have performed all over the world, and are now honoring Family Piano's very own Riverside Room with their set, titled, “Criss-Crossing the Pyrenees.” This is a great concert, and the amount of emotion that is certain to be behind it is going to be moving.

  9. Smash Mouth with Special Guest Spin Doctors

    May 18, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM @ Genesee Theatre

Smash Mouth epitomizes '90s pop rock with its groovy beats, memorable melodies and fun lyrics. With two multi-platinum albums and one gold, plus two songs featured on the Shrek movie soundtrack, the band left its mark with its over-the-top pop. Their music has been described as both futuristic and retro, unpredictable yet instantly recognizable. Every song has its notable quirks and catchy hooks. In fact, they're so infectious, you'll be singing along during the show, on the car ride home and, quite possibly, the next morning. Special guest Spin Doctors also made its imprint on the '90s. The Grammy® Award-nominated band enjoyed two platinum albums, including the multi-platinum Pocket Full of Kryptonite. The fun-loving quartet was probably the most unpretentious, party-rock band out there. They boosted their appeal by appearing on Saturday Night Live and the cover of Rolling Stone. In 2013, they recorded If the River Was Whiskey, their 6th studio album rooted in blues and rock.
