    Join the Superhero 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run Fundraiser! Participants are welcome to walk or run the course. First place finishers in each age category will receive medals. All participates will receive recognition rewards. After the Superhero 5K & 1 Mile Kids Fun Run Fundraiser for Seniors end, we encourage all to stay to enjoy the beauty and fun activities for all ages.   5. Amstutz Clean-up

    September 22, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ North Shore Printers

    Join Waukegan Main Street and MH Wozniak CPA for the final Amstutz Highway clean-up for 2018. Meet at North Shore Printers at the south end of the Amstutz to pick up bags, gloves and a fluorescent vest. Adults and older teens only, as it is an active highway. Wear long pants as there are bugs in the tall grass. Marty is springing for lunch after the clean-up!

  6. Migrant Quilt Project Exhibit

    September 22, 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Urban Edge

    The Migrant Quilt Project is a grassroots, collaborative effort of artists, quilt makers, and activists to express compassion for migrants from Mexico and Central America who died in the Southern Arizona deserts on their way to create better lives for themselves and their families. Materials used in the quilts were collected at migrant layup sites used for rest and shelter on established trails in the Sonoran Desert. Seventeen quilts are on display at Urban Edge through October 14th. The exhibit is open Friday through Sunday, noon to 7pm. Groups and classes may arrange times outside of set times by contacting the Waukegan Arts Council at (847) 920-4ARTS.

    Three Brothers is putting on TWO shows in September! One, the works of our own Ray Bradbury, and the other is the work of the greatest English playwright of our time, Caryl Churchill. Their director extraordinaire, Marie Tredwell, and her crack team of actors will put these scraps together to tell a new story just for you. You don't want to miss it!
