Waukegan Beach |
The Waukegan Municipal Beach, 201 Sea Horse Drive, is owned and operated by the City of Waukegan. The facility is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The park features 1 mile of sand that is groomed daily along with some of the only remaining natural dunes in the area. Recreational activities include swimming, sunbathing, picnicing and sand volleyball. Lifeguards patrol the designated swimming area from 10am - 6:00pm daily during the operating season. The Waukegan Lifeguard station can be reached by calling (847) 336-1044 during the normal operating season.
