    Waukegan High School presents “Sherlock Homes”!“Sherlock Holmes” is based on the popular 19th century British literary series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes is a fictional private detective who employs his unique investigative talents while working for a variety of clients. The play will be Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10 at 7pm, and Sunday, February 11 at 2pm. Tickets are $7 at the door.

    What if poet Sylvia Plath pulled her head out of the oven in the London apartment in time? And then was sent to Waukegan, Illinois to write a one-act play. Chloe and Rhonda are locals who vie for the lead in the play, while Brad is the tired director. Plath’s difficult assimilation finds her pissed at Ted, her estranged husband, and examining her exile in Waukegan. She vacillates between being wary of the locals and tenderness for them. Plath is the second offering of WTF! (Waukegan Theatre Festival!)
