The Council of the City of Waukegan met in regular session on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 7:00P.M. In the City Council Chambers, City Hall 100 North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.  Mayor Sabonjian, City Clerk, Wayne Motley and Corporation Counsel Newton Finn were present.

17.  Corporation Counsel, Newton Finn commented on the stolen gun that was sold at the Smoke and Gun firearms store. He discussed the drafting of a Local Hiring Ordinance. Mr. Finn spoke regarding the possible drafting of an ordinance that provides overlay zones in the city, a foreclosure plan, and adding additional language to the Rodeo Ordinance.

21. Alderman Needham indicated that there would be no net gain by allowing a Class W liquor license, there is no win for any one. He said that he has spoken to several police officers, they advised him that a new liquor license in the plaza area was not good for the neighborhood.
