ALDERMEN’S TIME:
27. Regarding the proposed forced annexation, my job to look out to the City of Waukegan. Our city is not responsible for police calls in the county. We are in this together we need to help one another. |
Alderman Needham |
28. We will continue to work with the unions. In most cases we are covering the County Sheriff’s Department.
Alderman Larsen |
ALDERMEN’S TIME cont.:
29. Burleson’s comments concern me as well as our Police Department is 2nd to none. He is speaking out of turn. Friday I observed our Police Department in Action when our officers responded to a dangerous situation. It is nice to know that when they show up they really know their stuff. It was eye opening. I was impressed.
Alderman Rivera |
30. Hope the SEIU Union and the city can come to terms on the contract. The liquor station on Washington & Keller is not a grocery store most of their business is liquor. They are in violation of their business license. They are not going by the rules. |
Aldermen Cunningham |
31. Glad this Appropriation Ordinance has passed. Some people will lose their jobs. These people did nothing wrong. I voted my feelings. Waukegan lost a former Aldermen’s relative, Michael Jackson a former Police Sgt. lost his wife last week. |
Alderman Koncan |
32. Thanked Fire Union. Fire Department answered a call in his neighborhood. Did a fine job. Remember Mom’s Day May 9. |
Alderman Moisio |
33. Each Alderman here speaks his mind. We were on life support and we had to fix it. Spoke on the Jackson Family and Mark Copeland . He indicated that it is difficult to outlive our students. |
Alderman Figueroa |
34. Spoke on Jackson Family loss. Great family. Heart goes out to family. It is really difficult to come up with a balanced budget. I do not know what the state is going to do. I am concerned about the loss of city jobs, but we cannot continue to lose money. We cannot give up on the Lake Front Development it needs to continue.
