30.  There was a tragic accident involving four students from Waukegan and North Chicago, where one died and three were severely injured.  Vistal Health Medical Center East handled the situation beautifully, I wish the media could have been there to witness what a fantastic job the medical staff did.

32.  We need more after school programs for the youth.  I graduated from Jefferson Middle School in 1979 and the programs they use to have were all taken away.

33.  There are two after school programs offered at Hyde Park Elementary and Miguel Juarez Middle School, tutoring and outreach.  There should be more people like Sue Schreiber in our community, she spent an unbelievable amount of hours working with the young kids in our community.

34.  Seatbelts will be enforced next month.  Vehicle tags need to be purchased by June 1st ,  you can still be ticketed for vehicle tags not purchased last year.  Landscaping business, there are four locations in his ward that continue to violate the zoning laws.

35.  He would like to clear up some confusion with Chris Blanks.  A letter was sent out to him requesting a 501 C3 certificate, a mission statement and a formal request for him to submit his proposal, procedures must be followed.

36.   Commented on the Mayor’s luncheon that took place at the Genesee Theatre.  David Motley did a well and professional presentation on where the city is headed.

37.  Thanked Teddy, David Motley, David Rovine for hosting the event, 220 people attended.  This indicates that the city is progressing, stay tuned, it will only get better.  There will be a 9th ward meeting on May 29, 2007 at Washington School from 7:00-8:30 pm.  June 4th will be the Lyons Club Golf Outing at Bonnie Brook.
