A. Fire Department Annual Report

The Waukegan Fire Department will present their annual report before the July 2008 Public Safety Committee Meeting.

B. Citizens Fire Academy

The Waukegan Fire Department has completed their first “Citizens Fire Academy” (CFA) with a total of eleven participants. During this seven week program, attendees were allowed to complete a limited amount of hands-on skills under close supervision of our officers and firefighters. The participants gained a better understanding and appreciation of the many duties and responsibilities of a Waukegan Firefighter.

43. Thanked Steve Drew, Biddy Johnston and his crew for all their hard work. Sometimes I disagree with Aldermen and Citizens, but by the end of the day we always come to an agreement. Don’t mistake me disagreeing with you a personal attack. John Balen is very ill, we need to come together to help out the residents of his ward. I will be working with Department Heads to make sure the City is run correctly. If you have a problem with me, bring it to me. If you need to know something, come to me and I will tell you.
