TEDDY ANDERSON

1524 N. SHERIDAN RD

24.  Our first Farmer’s Market was held last week. More items will be coming in.  Thursday is the 2nd Annual Taste of Downtown Waukegan from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

ALDERMAN MOISIO

ALDERMEN’S TIME:

25.  He wants a Recreational Harbor, that is what the Master Plan calls for.  Nothing bothers me more, than people not from the City of Waukegan telling me what to do.  Don’t waste your time with me, if you aren’t from Waukegan or the 3rd Ward, I am not going to listen to you.

ALDERMAN FIGUEROA

26.  The Carnegie Library brings flashbacks from my childhood.  Remembers the Library Lady, who use to make books come to life.  Does anyone have a picture or portrait of the Library Lady? A painting of the old Library should be placed in the Carnegie Library once it’s restored.

ALDERMAN NEWSOME

27.  No Comment.

ALDERMAN TENPAS

ALDERMEN’S TIME cont.:

28.  The Council needs to start working on Non-Partisan Elections.  I will work on this.  Biddy and his crew did an excellent job last week during the Wind Storm.  The City is running well under Mayor Hyde.  Takes his hat off to the Mayor.

ALDERMAN NEEDHAM

29.  Thanked Biddy for the Clean-Up last week, as well.  We have come a long way.  We have taken a lot of risks over the last several years.  We are in control and are keeping to the Master Plan for Re-Development of the Lakefront.  We still have a Dream and a Vision.  Thanked Members of the City Council.  Here’s to our future.

ALDERMAN LARSEN

30.  We are going to see to it that the Harbor gets cleaned up so our children don’t have to worry about this 50 years from now.  Congratulations to Fire Chief Gallagher for his professional accomplishments.

ALDERMAN RIVERA

31.  Congratulations to Chief Gallagher.  He is a fine family man.  Dedicates to his family and firefighters.  He has always been there when he is needed.  He is a great man and a great person.  We all have a vision on how we want to see the Harbor cleaned up.  We are all on the same page.

ALDERMAN CUNNINGHAM

32.  Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads.  Something that should be placed into the Public Safety Committee, Dogs should be required to be placed inside a fence.  We need to look into this.  Chief Biang advised, that the City is working on this ordinance.  Would like to know if cars with Wisconsin plates require insurance? (Wisconsin doesn’t require insurance, therefore, vehicles from Wisconsin without insurance cannot be towed, responded Chief Biang) Trucks parking in residential areas, we need to get aggressive with this and ticket them.

ALDERMAN BALEN

33.  We need to be better aware on the rules we operate on.  One man doesn’t determine what the rules are, we do and there is nine of us here on the council.
