30. Thanked Public Works and all of the employees of the City of Waukegan for a great job. Discussed high grass on the foreclosure properties. He picked out 17 homes that need attention. We need to contact the property owners. These properties are making the City look bad. We need to do something. Four feet (4’) of grass is outrageous. |
|
Alderman Cunningham |
31. Place more Code Enforcement Officers on the street in the summer time and inside more often in the winter time. Police and Fire did a great job during last weeks storm. Noise continues to be a problem. Our seniors need relief from these vehicle boom boxes. We need to start towing these vehicles a $500.00 fine will stop these complaints. It was great to hear that Chris Blanks took on the issue of local hiring. Waukegan should be allowed to have a local Hiring Ordinance to take care of our residents. Our city cannot go without a prayer to start our City Council. It makes us talk differently and act differently, it helps calm me. We need a list of people who can begin our Council Meeting with a prayer..
