The Council of the City of Waukegan met in regular session on Monday August 21, 2006 at 8:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall 100 North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.  Mayor Hyde, City Clerk, Wayne Motley, Corporation Counsel, Brian Grach, and Pat Dutcher, Treasurer were present.

27.  Stated that he learned that Thomas Hunley the manager of the Behavioral Intervention, Inc. plans to place the spotlight re-entry center a program to house 80 high risk parolees. Stated that he would not allow this program into his ward and if he can help it not in Waukegan.

33.  Frustration is felt about the comments that Mr. O’Rourke made about the Genesee Theatre.  We want to see it succeed and will continue to work toward that end.  Discussed the use of fuel by county and other agencies at Waukegan Public Works.  We have our share of social services we do not want this re-entry center.

34. Residents of his ward were not notified of the city sticker policy as a result the collector sold an additional 80 city stickers.

 

35.  A lot of jet skies on our lakefront from outside our community.  We need to regulate the lakefront.  Attended Stop the Killing Rally in North Chicago.  Please donate to the reward to find the offender in this incident.  W.H.A.R.F. is wonderful please plan to attend.
