AUDIENCE TIME:
26. He apologized for his statement at the last Council Meeting. He was misinformed and didn’t investigate the information before he spoke.
JOYCE EVANS 829 MCALISTER
27. Rummage Sales are getting out of hand. There are high gas rates on the South Side of Waukegan. She was told by the gas company this is because they aren’t centrally located. Does the City still have curfew? Kids are constantly traveling through the alleys.
STANLEY WILSON 901 ADAMS |
28. One of our young teenagers was shot six times. We have a problem and we cannot turn our heads. People are scared of the police and something needs to be done. This is ugly; people are getting killed all the time. We need to come together to help one another.
CHRIS BLANKS 409 OAK STREET
29. He is disappointed that the Police Department went out to discredit Jeff Lewis, whom was shot six times. He wasn’t trying to hit the Police Officer; he accidentally got in the way. The officer didn’t have to take this young man’s life. There is an investigation going on, this young man is being made to look like a villain.
ALDERMAN NEEDHAM |
ALDERMEN’S TIME:
30. Every meeting payroll and bills get paid. We have questions on many of the things we are spending money on. We are going to look at the bills to make sure there aren’t any unnecessary expenses. |
ALDERMAN LARSEN |
31. Teddy Anderson did an excellent job as the Director of Waukegan Main St. He is looking forward to meeting the new Director. |
ALDERMAN RIVERA |
32. Thanked Biddy for his hard work getting the salt for this winter. |
ALDERMAN CUNNINGHAM |
33. He spoke to Chief Biang and Commander Walles. One thing that bothers people is they don’t know what to do when approached by a police officer. Most people don’t know how to speak to a policeman. Do our children know what to do? Let’s bring police, attorneys and residents together to discuss what to do when approached by an officer, all the dos and don’ts. Black and Hispanic boys and girls need to know what they are expected to do. This may help address the misconceptions about interaction with police officers. We need to open this up and get guidance from professionals. We need to bridge this gap.
ALDERMAN MOISIO |

ALDERMAN NEWSOME |
