The Council of the City of Waukegan met in regular session on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 8:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall 100 North Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.  Mayor Hyde, City Clerk, Wayne Motley, Corporation Counsel, Brian Grach, and Pat Dutcher, Treasurer were present.

30.  As the schools goes so goes the city.  A good school system will keep residents in Waukegan.  All the cities that are doing well have outstanding school systems.

31.  I worked for a company where a majority of the employees came from Wisconsin.  Our school system must keep in step with the city in order to continue development.  Invited everyone to the Hispanic Parade on September 17, 2006.  Cub fans have to have a sense of humor.

Informed that Mayor Hyde received The People’s Choice award for excellence.
