About Hank Clark - 1937-2007
The Oakwood Cemetery Walk lost an amazing talent and a very valuable
member of our planning committee when Hank Clark passed away in
March of 2007. Hank volunteered as an actor for the our annual
event every year since its inception 13 years ago.
Among the people that Hank portrayed
were Robert Douglas, early nurseryman; William Besley, Waukegan
Brewer; John Williams, lighthousekeeper; and Jeremiah Minsky,
schooner captain. The first question that Hank would ask when
he selected a character was "Do I need to grow a beard?"
The answer was usually yes.
Hank touched the lives of many
young people in Waukegan as a teacher and guidance counselor.
He was also involved with the Waukegan Community Players and the
Bowen Park Theater. He will truly be missed by all.
