Who Maintains and Improves Our Streets?

 

A number of city departments are responsible for specific maintenance functions in city right-of-ways. The Street Department is responsible for items such as snow removal, street patching, maintaining storm sewers/drainage ways, turf restoration, roadside mowing, street cleaning, and street signs and markings. The Forestry Department is responsible for the care of parkway trees, including trimming, removal and new plantings. The Electrical Department is responsible for city-owned traffic signals and street lights.

Effective October 31, 2009  at 10:00 p.m. Public Works will be keeping new hours. They are as follows:

Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Weekends and Holidays we will be closed.
