Rail commuters can ride Metra’s Chicago & Northwestern line which runs from Kenosha to Chicago. The trip to the new terminal in downtown Chicago takes approximately 65 to 75 minutes. The new Waukegan train station will provide parking for more than 400 vehicles.

 

 

Drivers can take either the Edens Expressway (1-94) via US-41 or the Tri State Tollway (1-94) into downtown Chicago. Driving time is about an hour.

 

 

Chicago's O’Hare International Airport and Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport are approximately 45 minutes from Waukegan.

The new Waukegan METRA station which is located on Spring Street at the foot of Washington Street near the lake has copies of local train schedules, or call (847) 623-1023. There is parking available at the train station.
